Just
2 hours east of Park City awaits Nick and Anne Stevenson's
L.C. Ranch-over a dozen spring creek ponds and lakes amidst
red rock and juniper on the south slope of the Uinta Mountains
near Altamont. The ponds and lakes offer a variety of fishing
conditions through the season.
The consistent water flow invites a wide variety of vegetation
and abundant insect hatches that make the trout aggressive
feeders. The browns, rainbow, and steelhead at the Ranch
earn respect as we pursue them with a fly rod and our gratitude
as they are netted and released. Click

By the middle of March, after the ice melts fly fishing
can be remarkable on midge pupae, mayfly nymphs, and abundant
leeches. Some of the best dry fly fishing occurs when the
callibaetis show up at the end of April and continue on
through May and June.
Damselflies become a prominent food source as the water
warms up in June. Ants, beetles, and grasshoppers find their
way into the ponds during the hot days of summer and provide
excellent dry fly opportunities.
Fly fishing is primarily done from float tubes or pontoon
boats, but there are some shore and wading opportunities
as well. All anglers are accompanied by experienced Trout
Bum 2 Guides--who can tailor the trip to fit your needs.
The Ranch can also cater to non-fishing guests.
Lodging is available in several on site cabins. There is
the Honeymoon Cabin, the Trophy Lodge, the West Cabin, the
Bungalow, and the Hideaway Cabin. Enjoy Anne Stevenson's
delicious home cooking prepared at your cabin.
Let experienced Trout Bum 2 guides help you escape to a
stillwater oasis where the desert meets the mountains and
beautiful trout are within casting distance of the comforts
of home.
