Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.

We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.

Following are the latest reports in descending order of when they were last updated. As a result, you may see multiple reports on the same destination if we haven't updated one of the other destinations recently. Middle Provo River Fishing Report 04/14/2023

Middle Provo River

Overview

The Middle Provo is moving at flowing at 599 cfs. While the water is high and moving quick the fishing is still good. Targeting flatter, slower moving parts of the river will be most productive. There are blue wings hatching, dry fly fishing is very weather dependent, but nymphing will stay productive throughout the day.

Green River Fishing Report 04/14/2023

Location

Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam

Overview

The Green below Flaming Gorge Dam is flowing at 850 cfs. This fishing has been good, we are seeing both blue wings and midges throughout the day. The fish have not quite turned onto the BWO’s yet, but you can still find heads up as you move down the river. Streamer fishing is not the most productive option, but still an option if you are keen. Nymphing midges, scuds, and BWO’s will be most productive.

Middle Provo River Fishing Report 03/10/2023

Location

Middle Provo River

Overview

The Middle Provo is moving at 150 CFS. Just like the lower, there are plenty of big midges in and on the water. There is plenty of dry fly opportunity throughout the day, nymphing is still productive. We have seen baetis on overcast days but the hatch has been sporadic.

Lower Provo River Fishing Report 03/10/2023

Lower Provo River

Overview

The Lower Provo is flowing at about 147 CFS. The river is weed free and fishing good! Plenty of midges moving around with some baetis on overcast days. Access can be difficult with the amount of snow on the ground.

Small Streams Fishing Report 03/10/2023

Overview

Most small streams this time of year will be very difficult to access, closed, or frozen over. If you would like to get in some smaller water action, check out the Upper Provo as there are some areas that are easy to access and fish.
