Best Times: 8-11 and 4-9

Best Water Types to fish: Deep slow runs, seams, dropoffs, areas of structure, riffles, pocket water.

Forecast for the next few weeks: Water is still a little high, and there are lots of rafters on the water.

Other Comments: Please don't wade in spawning beds, watch out for the rafters

Best Water Types to fish: Deep slow runs, Seams, Slower current areas, Riffled watrer and runs

Forecast for the next few weeks: Hoppers should be going here in a week, caddis late in the evening

Other Comments: respect other anglers give everyone some room.

Best Water Types to fish: Heads of pools, along the banks, shallow riffles, pocket water, slow moving pools.

Forecast for the next few weeks: Good fishing to continue with warmer weather

Other Comments: A good option for large fish and less people, nymph a sow or caddis, caddis dries in the evenings

Top producing fly patterns on the Weber River Below Rockport Reservoir have been:

Dry Flies: Caddis, stimis, and hoppers on the warmer days.

Nymphs: Tailwater sow bugs, Agees Natural Sow Bug, Birds nest, hares ears, Fox's Caddis Poopah, Mitchells Split Case PMD, Barrs Emerger PMD, Pheasant Tails

Streamers: Black Leeches, Olive Sculpins, Ginger Buggers.

Best Techniques: Nymphing slower moving runs, dry droppers fishing.

Best Times: Mid day to Evening

Best Water Types to fish: Slower moving pools, pocket water, tail out of runs

Forecast for the next few weeks: Conditions are similar to the Upper Provo

Other Comments: Not many reports from the river, low water levels

Top producing fly patterns on the Upper Weber River have been:

Dry Flies: Stimulators and Caddis

Nymphs: Varfious stone fly nymphs

Streamers: Buggers (olive and blacks)

Fishing Pressure: Quite weekdays, some weekend anglers, more traffic as summer is here.

Fishing : Good to excellent

Hatches: PMD's, Caddis, and Hoppers

Best Techniques: Streamers, nymphing, dries, dry and dropper

Best Times: 10:30 to 6:30

Best Water Types to fish: banks, nymph runs, shelfs, riffles, back eddies, dropoffs

Forecast for the next few weeks: Normal Summer Flows, 1800 CFS during the day, and an evening ramp up.

Other Comments: New Zealand mud snails have been confirmed in this section of the Green. This exotic species competes for the same food as insects which then displaces the insects that trout feed on. In order to prevent spreading these invaders to other waters, wash all equipment with bleach and allow it to completely dry (drying and freezing seem to kill them) before entering other waters.

Top producing fly patterns on the Green River have been:

Dry Flies: Ants, Crickets, Taylor's Fat Albert, Vis A Dun PMD, Double ugly, Para Hopper

Nymphs: Wiggly Worms, Zebra Midges, Large Scuds, Mitchells Split Case PMD, Barrs Emerger PMD.

Streamers: black woolhead sculpin, gold wooley bugger, Silvey's sculpin Olive, Hot head Sculpin, black buggers.

Best Techniques: Dry fly fishing, nymphing, small streamers, dry droppers

Best Times: depends on location and hatch

Best Water Types to fish: pools and runs, riffles waters, beaver ponds, undercut banks

Forecast for the next few weeks: fair to very good depending on location. Some rivers are still high

Other Comments: Time to go and escape from the crowds on a wide range of small streams

Top producing fly patterns on these area rivers have been:

Dry Flies: Parachute adams, Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulators, Para Hopper, PMX

Nymphs: Tung Teasers, Pheasnt Tails, Prince Nymphs, caddis nymphs, hares ears

Streamers: natural zonker, sculpins, and Buggers, small leeches.

Other Comments: The ranch is tough this time of the year, will get better mid september.
