Fishing Pressure: Low

Fishing: Good

Hatches: Midges and some BWO's

Best Techniques:  Dries, Dry Dropper, and Nymph fishing.

Best Times: 11-4

Best Water Types to fish: Deep slow runs, seams, dropoffs, areas of structure, riffles,

Forecast for the next few weeks: Water levels are good, minimal tubers, and good fishing.

Other Comments: Nymphing has been productive, decent action on dries and streamers. Flows of around 250 CFS. Please do not wade on spawning beds.

Top producing fly patterns on the Lower Provo River have been:

Dry Flies: Morgan's Para Midge, Small Parachute Adams, Sparkle Duns,  Hackle Stacker BWO, Griffiths Gnat

Nymphs: Idyl's Dark Sow Bug, Rocky Mountain Sow Bug, BWO Barrs Emerger, JuJu Baetis, WD 40, WD 50, JuJu B Midge, Zebra Midge, Egg Patterns

Streamers: Small buggers (black and olive), Natural Zonkers, Egg Sucking Leech

Fishing : Good

Best Techniques: Nymphing, Dry, Dry Dropper, streamers

Best Times: 11-4

Best Water Types to fish: Deep slow runs, pocket water, riffled water, back eddies, seams, slow pools

Forecast for the next few weeks: 150-250 CFS

Other Comments: Please respect other anglers give everyone some room, there is plenty of water to fish. Please do not wade on spawning beds.

Fishing : Poor

Hatches: Midges 

Best Techniques: Nymphing, Streamer fishing, Dry, Dry Dropper

Best Times: Middle of the day

Best Water Types to fish: deep slower runs, seam, pocket water, along the banks

Forecast for the next few weeks: Water levels are down to fishable levels lots of public water on the Upper Provo in the Uintas.  Please do not wade on the spawning beds. Tough to fish in winter, often freezes over.

Other Comments: Not much public water above Jordanelle, please respect no trespasing signs

Top producing fly patterns on the Upper Provo River have been:

Dry Flies: Parachute Adams

Nymphs: San Juan Worm, Pheasant Tails, Prince Nymphs, Sow Bugs,  Zebra Midges, WD 40, WD 50, Egg patterns.

Streamers: Circus Peanut, Olive Buggers, Black Buggers, Silveys Sculpin, Dungeons

Weber River Below Rockport Reservoir

Fishing Pressure: Low

Fishing: Average

Hatches: Midges and some BWO's 

Best Techniques: Nymphing and streamers, some dry fly fishing

Best Times: A11-4

Best Water Types to fish: Heads of pools, pocket water, slow moving runs, along the banks

Forecast for the next few weeks: River is at a good flow right now, limited people fishing, please do not wade on spawning beds

Other Comments: Water levels are flowing around 180-200 CFS, this would be a good place to stick a big fish, Please do not wade on spawning beds.

Top producing fly patterns on the Weber River Below Rockport Reservoir have been:

Dry Flies: Morgan's Para Midge, Small Parachute Adams, Biot Midge, Griffiths Gnat

Nymphs:  WD-40, WD-50, Idyl's Dark Sow Bug, Agges Natural Sow, Rocky Mountain Sow, Ray Charles, Pheasant Tails, Egg Patterns

Streamers: Black Leeches, Natural Zonkers, Slumpbusters, Silveys Sculpin, Black Leeches.

Fishing Pressure: None

Fishing : Fair

Hatches: BWO and Midges

Best Techniques: Dry droppers, small streamers, shallow nymph rigs

Best Times: 11-4

Best Water Types to fish: Slower moving pools, pocket water, tail out of runs, riffled water, deep pools

Forecast for the next few weeks: Water levels are at a good level right now, please do not wade on spawning beds.

Other Comments: Not many reports from the river,minimal pressure. Tough in the winter, often freezes over.

Top producing fly patterns on the Upper Weber River have been:

Dry Flies: Parachute Adams, Stimulators, Elk Hair Caddis, Para Hopper

Nymphs: Zebra Midges, Pheasant Tails, Hares Ears, Prince nymphs, San Juan Worms, Agees Natural Sow Bug, Idyls Dark Sow Bug, Egg Patterns.

Streamers: Buggers (olive and blacks), Small Zonkers, Small Leeches, Slumpbusters

Fishing Pressure: Better fishing condition has increased traffic on the Green.

Fishing : Good

Hatches: BWO and Midges

Best Techniques: Streamers, nymphing, dries, dry and dropper

Best Times: Middle of the Day

Best Water Types to fish: banks, nymph runs, shelfs, riffles, back eddies, dropoffs, deep runs

Forecast for the next few weeks: Flows of around 1000-2000, fishing has been VERY GOOD on all 3 sections of the Green.

Other Comments: New Zealand mud snails have been confirmed in this section of the Green. This exotic species competes for the same food as insects which then displaces the insects that trout feed on. In order to prevent spreading these invaders to other waters, wash all equipment with bleach and allow it to completely dry (drying and freezing seem to kill them) before entering other waters.

Dry Flies: CDC Biot Comparadun BWO, Parachute Adams, Morgan's Midge, Triple Double. Lawsons Thorax Baetis

Nymphs: Wiggly Worms, Zebra Midges, WD-40's, Sow Bugs, Scud Patterns, San Juan Worm,  WD-50, Pheasant Tails, Egg Patterns.

Streamers: Dungeons, Circus Peanut, Articulated Monkey, Buggers, Silveys Sculpin

Fishing : Average to Good.  Water levels influence nymphs vs dries, depends on the rivers.

Hatches: Midges and BWO's

Best Techniques: Dry fly fishing, nymphing, small streamers, dry droppers

Best Times: depends on location

Best Water Types to fish: Pools and runs, riffles waters, beaver ponds, undercut banks, pocket water.

Forecast for the next few weeks: Tailwaters remain best option, check water flows for best locations.  Frestones will be a little tough with lower water levels.

Other Comments: Small streams can be tough in the winter.

Dry Flies: Parachute Adams, Griffiths Gnat, Stimulators, PMX, Elk Hair Caddis, Para Hopper, M's Hopper
