Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.

We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.

As a result, you may see multiple reports on the same destination if we haven't updated one of the other destinations recently. Lower Provo River Fishing Report 01/25/2024

Lower Provo River

Overview

The Lower Section of the Provo River below Deer Creek Reservoir is currently at 210 CFS. With Deer Creek not frozen over sometimes the river can be a bit off color with the wind blowing the lake over. Generally midges are your best bet, with your standard sow bug/worms to supplement.

Middle Provo River Fishing Report 1/25/2024

Location

Middle Provo River

Overview

Fishing has been decent during the warmest hours of the day. Mostly small midges with us on the lookout for buffalos. Play around with color in the smallest sizes to find the flavor of the day. Streamer fishing has been good on cloudy/dark days.

Green River Fishing Report 1/25/2024

Location

Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam

Overview

The Green below Flaming Gorge Dam will be flowing at an average of 2100 CFS and has been that way since 11/29/23. There is a double bump, With one at 3am and 2pm. Streamer fishing has been good no matter if the river is rising or falling. There should be decent nymphing during the lows. Think scuds and small midges.

Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam

Overview

The Green below Flaming Gorge Dam will be flowing at an average of 2100 CFS as of 11/29/23. There is a double bump, With one at Midnight and one at noon. Streamer fishing on the bump is the way to go most days. There should be decent nymphing during the lows. Thin scuds and small midges.
