Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview Flows are sitting at about 800 CFS all day long. We are seeing more fish stacked up in bigger pools at these lower flows. There are some tricos throughout the day, but are starting to wane. Same goes for the hoppers, fishing hoppers during the warmest part of the day will be the most productive. There are some spawning reds starting to appear, make sure to keep a close eye on where you are walking if you are wading as to not step on any of those beds. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview From 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. flows are sitting around 1600 CFS. Dry fly fishing has been good with lulls throughout the day. Nymphing has been just as productive as well. We have been seeing less hatch bugs (Caddis and PMD's) on the water on any given day, but fishing small terrestrials has been productive. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. flows are sitting around 1600 CFS. Dry fly fishing has been good with lulls throughout the day. Nymphing has been just as productive as well. We have seen plenty of PMD's and Caddis throughout the river and a few Sallies further down stream. Some fish are willing to eat Hoppers and other terrestrials like flying ants, but it will take a bit more work to find those fish. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview For most of the day flows are at 890cfs. There is a bump in flows to about 2100 CFS from 6pm to 11pm then dropping down to that base of 890cfs. There has been a strong midge hatch early mornings with both nymphing and dry fly fishing being productive. There are some flying ants out and about, but the fish have been picky. BWO's are still hatching and the fish have been enjoying that hatch both on the surface and below. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview For most of the day flows are at 890cfs. There is a bump in flows to about 2100 CFS from 6pm to 11pm then dropping down to that base of 890cfs. Bwo's are out in full force and nymphing will be your most productive option. Later in the day has been when the fish are looking up for some dry fly action, with some midge dry fly action in the mornings. Streamers have been a bit hit or miss.
