Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview Change has been happening in the flows below Flaming Gorge. Were Currently at a flow of 1600cfs during business hours with a bump to 3600cfs in the evening. Midges and Blue Wing Olives have been hatching strong most days. When the hatch is going fish have been suspended and looking up. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview The Green below Flaming Gorge Dam will be flowing at an average of 1000CFS and has been that way since 3/1/24. Your day time average is around 900cfs There is a bump in the evening up to 1800ish. For your pre hatch fishing midges, bwos and scuds are your ticket. In the afternoon the BWOs have been getting more active with some fish up here and there. Streamers have still been a viable option, especially on the darker fowl weather days. There is a double bump, With one at 3am and 2pm. Streamer fishing has been good no matter if the river is rising or falling. There should be decent nymphing during the lows. Think scuds and small midges. There is a bump from 950 CFS up to 2200 CFS. this bump takes place between a.m. and 9 a.m. Fishing has been good, fish are eating small scuds and midges throughout the day. There are still some hatch bugs coming off the water, but the dry fly fishing has been very technical.
