Lower Provo River Fishing Report 11/04/2019

Location Lower Provo River Overview The Lower Provo is flowing at ~118 cfs out of the Deer Creek Reservoir. This flow is low, but it can still be productive. Watch out for brown trout spawning redds. Nymphs or streamers will likely be the most productive this time of year. Lower Provo River Fishing Report 09/04/2019

Location Lower Provo River Overview The Lower Provo is flowing at ~570 cfs out of the Deer Creek Reservoir. This flow is fishy, but it is a bit higher than usual for this time of year. Nymphing will be the most productive, but fish dries if you see them eating up top. Still seeing some PMDs and Caddis. Sow bugs are always a good choice for the lower. Location Lower Provo River Overview The Lower Provo is now flowing at ~695 cfs out of the Deer Creek Reservoir. This flow is fishier than it has been so far this summer. Nymphing and streamers will be the most productive, but fish dries if you see them eating up top. PMDs and Caddis are out, so stick to their emerger patterns. Location Lower Provo River Overview Spring runoff has made it down to the Lower Provo as well, with a very high and swift flow of ~1135 cfs coming out of Deer Creek Reservoir. If you were to try and fish you should stick to streamers or deep heavy nymph rigs. Use extreme caution near the river. Recent Flows ~1135 cfs Fishing Meh. Lower Provo River Fishing Report 05/09/2019

Location Lower Provo River Overview Spring is here and so are the flows. Its currently sitting at 500cfs, and were waiting for the springtime release to ease a full Deer Creek. Water is stained a bit on most days. Were still seeing midges and  BWOs. If nymphing is your game, go with scuds, sow bugs, midges, San Juan worms, and BWOs.  Streamer fishing has been ok, better on overcast days.
