Middle Provo River
Overview
In the last week we saw flows on the Middle Provo rise to 908 CFS. We expect this outflow from Jordanelle Reservoir into the river to stay at the flow for the next few weeks. Being that the river is high, nymphing has been the more productive option with there being very few bugs hatching to the surface, and very few fish looking up. Fishing is still good, there are some caddis nymphs in the water and as flows start to come down, we should expect to see some Caddis start to come off.

Overview
Not much has changed on the river in the last month. Flows are still around 315 CFS above River Road Bridge. Below the bridge/diversion flows are around 215 CFS. On any given day, nymphing small midges, BWO’s, and baetis is the more productive option. On cloudy/stormy days you can find some BWO’s making an appearance but the dry fly eat is hit or miss. There are some caddis in the water but we have yet to see a proper hatch.

Overview
Flows have greatly decreased with the release out of the dam being 300 CFS and below the diversion, 150 CFS. Caddis hatches have been sporadic throughout the day with little bursts of them going off all day. PMD’s have been hatching around mid-morning and continue throughout the day. The dry fly eat is ok, nymphing will still be your more productive option.
