Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.
We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.
Following are the latest reports in descending order of when they were last updated. As a result, you may see multiple reports on the same destination if we haven't updated one of the other destinations recently. Location Area Small Streams Overview Small Stream fishing is pretty much over. Some are low and some are decent, but all of them will reach an unsafe temp for catching fish daily. If you must go fish a small stream go early morning and keep an eye on the water temp. Location Weber River Overview The Weber river has been holding between 180-200cfs for about 2 months now. Sow bugs, pmds and midges are working. Terrestrials are starting to work too, so try small flying ants and small hoppers. The evening caddis hatch is a great opportunity for dry fly fishing. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview The river is still down in the low 800's. Cicadas are gone, but Caddis and Sallies are on the river. PMDs have been active on couldy days. Location Weber River Overview The Weber river has been holding between 180-200cfs for about a month now. Caddis has died down but they'll still eat the nymph. Sow bugs, baetis and midges are also still working. With the heat terrestrials should start coming into play with the occasional evening caddis for dry fly fishing.
