Middle Provo River Fishing Report 4/21/2021

Location Middle Provo River Overview The Middle has been fishing well recently. In the morning the midge patterns should be the most productive. There is a chance you will see a baetis hatch midday. It is usually in small groups, but the fish are keyed in on them. Baetis like overcast days, so don't let the inclement weather keep you from fishing the hatch. Dry flies can work, but like always nymphing will be the most productive. I predict we are going to have a light tippet summer, so get used to fishing with 6X or 7X.  Latest Flows Dam: ~145 cfs. Dry flies, emergers, and nymphs have all been productive. Streamer fishing can still be productive below Red Creek. Midge patterns should be productive until the baetis hatch.
