Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.

We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.

Weber River Fishing Report 11/27/2023

Location Weber River Overview The Weber still has water in it! The savvy fisherperson should check here first before heading out. We are overdue for them dropping to base winter flows. The fish do seem to be podded up in the deeper holes and below drop-offs. Nymphing and streamers are your best bet. Small Streams Fishing Report 09/22/2023

Location Area Small Streams Overview Water temps are dropping across the board. That being said some small streams pretty tricky. With the PMD hatches and Hopper eats slowing down, most rivers can be productive with Caddis and small terrestrial patterns. Some small streams are starting to reach their winter flows and are becoming shallow. Green River Fishing Report 09/22/23

Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview The Green below Flaming Gorge Dam is flowing at an average of 2000 CFS. There is a bump from 950 CFS up to 2200 CFS. this bump takes place between  a.m. and 9 a.m. Fishing has been good, fish are eating small scuds and midges throughout the day. There are still some hatch bugs coming off the water, but the dry fly fishing has been very technical. Weber River Fishing Report 09/22/2023

Location Weber River Overview The Weber has been fishing good. Below Rockport flows are fluctuating between 180 CFS and 200 CFS. We are still seeing Caddis and PMD's throughout the day. The hopper bite is slowing down significantly. Midges and sow bugs are good options if you head that way. Day to day, nymphing has been by far the more productive option. Latest Flows ~190 CFS Fishing Good Current Hatches Midges (20-24) PMD's (18-22) Sow Bugs (14-16) Hothead in Tan! BWO's/Baetis (20-24) Caddis (size 20 - 18) Best Time Of Day All day depending, cold mornings are slow to start.

Middle Provo River Fishing Report 09/22/2023

Location Middle Provo River Overview The Middle Provo out of Jordanelle Dam is flowing at 250 CFS, below the diversion on Old Highway 40, the river is flowing at about 150 CFS. The fishing has been good, but varies from day to day. While there is some dry fly opportunity, nymphing is the more productive option. We are seeing the end of the PMD's and there are some BWO's and Baetis starting to make an appearance. Caddis will still be on the menu for the next month or so.
