Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.
We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.

As a result, you may see multiple reports on the same destination if we haven't updated one of the other destinations recently. Location Weber River Overview The Weber has been changing in both flow and fishing quality. Going from "Best day ever!" to struggling to catch a white fish. Currently low and a bit off color up high. What this typically means is its time to throw sows or streamers. Location Middle Provo River Overview Flows have been slowly starting to ramp up on the provo. The Middle is currently at 550cfs. Small flies have been the name of the game. Wether using Sows, midges, or bwos. The smaller the better. There has also been some Caddis nymphs in the water, though no adults seen yet. Keep your flies and tippet small despite the increase in flows. Dry fly fishing has been sporadic. Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview Change has been happening in the flows below Flaming Gorge. Were Currently at a flow of 1600cfs during business hours with a bump to 3600cfs in the evening. Midges and Blue Wing Olives have been hatching strong most days. When the hatch is going fish have been suspended and looking up. Location Weber River Overview The Weber is back! Its been flowing around 240-280cfs. Nymphing is the best way to approach it unless you see fish actively rising. the hatch has been consistent but the the fish rising has been sporadic. BWO nymphs and Sowbugs have been the most productive. Location Lower Provo River Overview The Lower Section of the Provo River below Deer Creek Reservoir is currently at 410 CFS. With Deer Creek not frozen over sometimes the river can be a bit off color with the wind blowing the lake over. There has been one of the better BWO hatches in recent memory. Dry fly fishing has been best in the afternoon, but its been nymphing well all day. Streamers have still been doing well regardless of cloud cover.
