Our Utah fly fishing reports offer a brief overview of current conditions on our waters. You'll find fishing reports for the main Utah rivers and streams that we guide on and fish regularly. Reports for the Lower Provo, Middle Provo, Weber River, Green River and Small Streams are included.

We write the reports based on our daily experiences on the water and information received from customers. We update the reports as conditions change and our schedule permits. If you don’t see what you are looking for, please give us a call at the shop or contact us here. We are always happy to update you with current conditions on many other Utah waters and fisheries in surrounding states as well.

Middle Provo River Fishing Report 3/26/2024

Location Middle Provo River Overview The Buffalo midge has come and mostly gone. But BWO's are here, mostly towards the afternoon for dry fly action. They have bumped up the water a bit to around 300cfs. Pre hatch has been good on sowbugs and midges. During the hatch its been all BWOs. Steamers are still in play especially on the cloudy/stormy days. Green River Fishing Report 3/26/2024

Location Green River Below Flaming Gorge Dam Overview The Green below Flaming Gorge Dam will be flowing at an average of 1000CFS and has been that way since 3/1/24. Your day time average is around 900cfs There is a bump in the evening up to 1800ish. For your pre hatch fishing midges, bwos and scuds are your ticket. In the afternoon the BWOs have been getting more active with some fish up here and there. Streamers have still been a viable option, especially on the darker fowl weather days. Lower Provo River Fishing Report 01/25/2024

Location Lower Provo River Overview The Lower Section of the Provo River below Deer Creek Reservoir is currently at 210 CFS. With Deer Creek not frozen over sometimes the river can be a bit off color with the wind blowing the lake over. Generally midges are your best bet, with your standard sow bug/worms to supplement. Middle Provo River Fishing Report 1/25/2024

Location Middle Provo River Overview Fishing has been decent during the warmest hours of the day. Mostly small midges with us on the lookout for buffalos. Play around with color in the smallest sizes to find the flavor of the day. Streamer fishing has been good on cloudy/dark days.
